Have you ever dreamed of having the opportunity to record a song you’ve written in a world-class recording studio? Well, this dream came true for the extremely talented winners of this year’s and lasts Alice Gross Memorial Song Writing Award.
Over two days during the Easter holidays, Erin O’Sullivan, of winning song ‘You’ve Changed’, and trio, Crossly, Ardhana and Isabella, of ‘Find A Way’ spent a whole day realising their songs under the stewardship of Recording Engineer, Eve Morris, Vocal Coach, Gemma Chambers, and Mentor, Ross Kenning, at British Grove Studios, Chiswick.
The winners were treated to a tour and history of the studio, before settling down to record and mix their songs. The day was full of fun and laughter with the winners displaying a maturity and professionalism beyond their years.
Listen to the recorded songs here and be sure to check out Erin O’Sullivan at this year’s Hanwell Hootie, who will be making an appearance on the Youth Stage!
