Cadenza has continued to grow and provide even more opportunities for our young musicians. Now with 19 ensembles and classes catering to over 200 pupils from Ealing and beyond, and with manageable monthly rehearsals, Cadenza is the chosen music centre for many young musicians in West London.
Our ensembles rehearse monthly on a Saturday at Grange Primary School, Ealing. The centre opens at 8:30am and our ensembles and classes run from 9:00am throughout the day until our last rehearsal finishes at 5:30pm.
Cadenza prides itself on being a friendly, supportive and relaxed setting where young people come to learn and make high quality music with professional teachers and conductors. We are proud to provide a wide variety of excellent ensembles and look forward to welcoming you for the year 2025/26.

Cadenza Packages
For wind, brass, percussion and string players who have been having lessons on their instrument for at least half a term.
Beginner Musicians will take part in Wind Whizzers or Super Strings.
Beginner Musicians also join Ealing Young Voices choir for free!
Drum kit and percussion players will also join Mini Mallets for free!
Annual Membership – £124
For orchestral woodwind, brass, percussion and string players between Grade 1 and 3. Training musicians take part in Ealing Starter Strings or Ealing Starter Concert Band and Ealing Training Orchestra.
Training Musicians join Ealing Young Voices choir for free or Theory of Music Grades 1-3 lessons for an additional charge of £149.
Drum kit and percussion players will also join Mini Mallets for free!
Annual Membership – £211
For orchestral woodwind, brass, percussion and string players between Grades 3 and 5. Intermediate musicians take part in Ealing Intermediate Strings or Ealing Intermediate Wind Band and Ealing Intermediate Orchestra.
Intermediate Musicians join Ealing Senior Voices choir for free or Theory of Music Grades 4 & 5 lessons for an additional charge of £149.
Drum kit and percussion players will also join Ealing Senior Percussion Ensemble for free!
Annual Membership – £211
For drum kit and percussion players from pre Grade 1 to Grade 3 standard.
Students can either join the Mini Mallets as a standalone ensemble or as part of the Beginner or Training Musician Package.

For drum kit and percussion players from Grades 4 – 8+ standard.
Students can either join the Senior Percussion Ensemble as a standalone ensemble or as part of the Intermediate Musician Package.

For orchestral instruments only; Grade 6+.
Ealing Senior Sinfonia will meet on the weekend of the 2nd and 3rd of January and the 9th, 10th and 11th April for intensive rehearsals partnering with Ealing Youth Orchestra, conducted by Leon Gee. The season will finish with a performance on the afternoon of Sunday 11th April, venue TBC.
To apply for an audition please fill in the form below. Auditions will take place on Saturday 21st November at Grange Primary School. Times TBC.
*Please note that if your child is a current EYO member or they auditioned for the 26/27 season, their place in Ealing Senior Sinfonia is guaranteed and they will not need to audition. Current Ealing Senior Sinfonia members do not need to re-audition.

EYBB is the starting point for our jazz ensemble programme, open to any players of approximate Grades 3-5 standard who play the following instruments: Saxophone (Alto, Tenor, Baritone), Trumpet/Cornet, Trombone, Tuba, French Horn, Electric Guitar, Piano, Bass (Double or Electric), Drums.
Ealing Youth Big Band members join Ealing Young Voices choir for free or Theory of Music Grades 1-3 lessons for an additional charge of £149.
As well as the regular rehearsals (dates above), Ealing Youth Big Band and Ealing Youth Jazz Orchestra will rehearse on Saturday 16th and 23rd January at Grange Primary School in preparation for their annual ‘Doo Dah Dit Daht’ concert at The Questors Theatre on Wednesday 3rd February 2027.

EYJO is a chamber group with a line up modelled on the classic jazz orchestra line up. The usual route into EYJO is through a grounding in EYBB. In cases where the student is Grade 6 or above, an application can be made for an audition video to be submitted.
Students who play the following instruments can apply to submit an audition video: Saxophone (Alto, Tenor, Baritone), Trumpet, Trombone, Tuba, French Horn, Electric Guitar, Piano, Bass, Drums.

Our theory classes follow the ABRSM syllabus and are designed to boost your child’s musicianship knowledge and offer support to GCSE and A Level music students. We offer two classes: Grade 1-3 and Grades 4 & 5.
