EALING 2 BROADWAY
On the Wednesday 12th of July 2023 at the ECC Theatre (Northfields, Ealing), will be transformed into a Broadway stage for ‘Ealing2Broadway #2‘, an evening packed with music from some of the best musicals of all time, and we would love your school to be part of it for FREE!
“Ealing 2 Broadway” is an evening of music from some of the best loved musicals of all time – including Oliver, Hairspray, Joseph, Miss Saigon, Sound of Music, Les Miserables to name a few… All accompanied by a professional pit band under the baton of musical director” – Lee Marchant, Deputy Head of Service.
PRIMARY: School Choirs or classes to be part of the chorus, ALL KS2 children are welcome – and songs will be allocated to the appropriate age group. Schools may be asked if they can learn some simple movement with some songs – support and training will be given.
SECONDARY: Singers and dancers If you would like to showcase up to 3 songs from a recent or upcoming performance of your school musical, we would love to provide the band and a wider audience to show off what your school can do. You will be responsible for your own section of this show.
OR, if you haven’t done a musical this year and have a choir or a class who wants to get involved with all the other chorus numbers, we would love to have you and age appropriate songs will be given to secondary age chorus.
We will also be looking for Soloists! If you have any pupils that would like to audition to sing a solo – (or a duet) from any musical with the professional band as part of the show and represent your school, please let us know – AUDITIONS WILL NEED TO BE SUBMITTED TO US VIA VIDEO.

CRITERIA
In order to take part, pupils need to commit to rehearsals during the day on the 12th & 13th of July and performances on both evenings.
Please NOTE: depending on uptake – your school may be asked to perform on 1 or both nights. Schools will be allocated songs to be involved in, (unless you’re a secondary school coming with a musical already rehearsed).
