INTERVIEW

Congratulations on your successful application to work for EMS! We are pleased to invite you to interview for the position.

LESSON

Please prepare and teach a 15 minute lesson. The lesson will be delivered to one year 4 pupil who has had a term of lessons.

PERFORMANCE

As part of the lesson clearly demonstrate your ability to play an instrument within the context of teaching and learning. 

The panel may require you to demonstrate additional playing ability.  Please prepare an unaccompanied performance lasting no more than 5 minutes. 

TEACHING & LEARNING 

An interview with the panel of approximately 30 minutes duration.

TO BRING WITH YOU 

  • Two copies of your lesson plan for your interview
  • Examples of your current lesson plans 
  • Any sheet music that you may need

AFTER THE INTERVIEW 

If you are successful at the interview, you will be expected to complete the necessary forms so that we may conclude the recruitment process quickly.  

It is mandatory that we receive acceptable references before we can offer you any work and process any payments for any work that we may ask you to undertake. To this end, you may wish to contact your referees to inform them that we may contact them to request references.
