NEW GEN FESTIVAL is a New One-Day Festival of Music, Dance, and Spoken Word By and For Youth in Ealing.

Discover a fun-filled day of activities and entertainment for young people aged 10 to 25 at New Gen Festival in Walpole Park this summer.

Try out Hip Hop, Afro, and Bhangra dance styles at our dance programme (12-4pm), check out some of the Afrobeats, UK Rap, R&B, and Amapiano acts on the Live Music Stage (4-9pm), or join guest poets for the Spoken Word Stage (7-9pm). Take time out in our Mind Zone, with bean bags, soft drinks, and art and mindfulness activities.

New Gen is by and for youth—it’s a safe space for young people to come together, have fun, express themselves, take part, and find out about creative careers. There are lots of things to have a go at, like gamelan and writing workshops and DJ and steelpan tasters. Meet professionals from the film and TV sector at our Film Panel to find out about routes into a screen career, or get behind the camera (or in front of it) at our drop-in film shoot. If you’d like to get on stage yourself, enter our dance competition or look out for news about our battle of the bands.

New Gen Festival takes place on the Ealing Summer Festivals site on Wednesday 26 July. Gates open at 11am with activities running from 12pm to 9pm. Tickets are £2.50 for young people (up to 25), and £5 for the forever young (over 25). Under 16s must be accompanied by a parent or carer. Food and drink will be available on the site, but no alcohol is on sale or permitted on site.
