Selborne African Drumming Ensemble

“Membership to Selborne African Drumming Ensemble is free – all we ask for is regular commitment and practice so that the ensemble can thrive, be the best it can and perform to the highest possible standard”.

Selborne African Drumming Ensemble (SADE) is an exciting ensemble open to anyone interested in playing and learning about African music. Members of the ensemble learn to play djembe together, traditional African chants, songs and dances as well as mashing these up with more popular music. Ensemble playing is an essential part of learning to play a musical instrument; helping with different technical and musical aspects of instrumental playing as well as being a great opportunity to meet other musicians.

SADE meet on Fridays at 3:45 to 4:45pm at Selborne Primary School.

Membership to this Ensemble is free!
