The final 2 weeks of term saw the return of the World Music Festival (WMF). Ealing Music Service has been organising WMF for the last 12 years and it has always been a great success among schools. Originally a way of introducing new and different kinds of music, it has now become a way of encouraging exciting musical activities and keeping music live in schools! 20 schools will be receiving visits from professional musicians to excite and encourage pupils across the borough. Pictured is Andy Warn of ‘Sounds Hawaiian’ at St. Joseph’s Primary School. The workshop was a great success and went down a treat with both the pupils and teachers lucky enough to be involved. One teacher said of the WMF “I’d pay for it myself if I had to!..”. WMF will be returning next year, so be sure to keep an eye out for details on our website.
