A huge “well done” to the choirs from Featherstone Primary School, Hambrough Primary School and Featherstone High School who performed brilliantly at the first ever Ealing SongFest. Each choir performed 2 songs, incuding, “I believe I can fly” and “Zum Gali Gali”, finishing with a masses performance of “Believe” by Lin Marsh.
James Devaney, Assistant Head of Ealing Music Service, said “Congratulations to all three choirs, many of whom performed for the first time. I look forward to next terms Songfest and more schools participating.”
SongFest is the new EMS event encouraging and celebrating singing in schools. Building upon the success of Ealing Schools Music Festival (ESMF) where primary schools visited their neighbouring host secondary school to celebrate their musical performances, SongFest will continue the relationship between schools through singing events. Each participating school will perform their chosen song to each other and join together in a massed choir song. This pilot event, which took place on 26th November at Featherstone High School will be followed by further events in the Spring Term. Check back here for more details.
